Today’s tips will help you capture the end of the year/ beginning of the new year traffic surges.
There are a huge amount of searches that involve the year in the search keywords. If you create content that is about the end of the year or the beginning of the year you can attract those users.
#1 Best of Content
At the end of the year, you can create a blog post that wraps up the year. For example, the title could be “Top 5 _____ of 2018.” You just fill in the blank with something that relates to your business and something that would resonate with your target audience.
The trick is to use 2018 in the title so that you can capture all the end of the year searches. While this isn’t evergreen content, it is something that you could do every year and then create an archive of year-end posts for people to refer back to. Just make sure you link the old posts back to the new one.
#2 Year Ahead Content
Similar to the year-end wrap-up content pieces, you can make a blog post for the year ahead. The post could be predictions in the industry, things to look out for in the coming year, top new 2019 products or really anything like that.
If you make one for 2019, then that is also something that you could refer back to in another post at the end of 2019 to see if your predictions came true to tie the two posts together. It is a great way to wrap up and package your blog content.
