How to take control of your SEO and improve your site speed

Today’s tips will help you take control of your website’s SEO and improve your page load speed.

#1 Yoast

Yoast is the number one SEO plugin for WordPress. It is super easy to use and gives you full control over all of the most important SEO settings. Once installed you will be able to have full control over how your site looks in online search.

One of my other favorite features of the plugin is to be able to select which image you want to show up when someone shares your website on social media. That way you can control your branding at all of the different touchpoints of your business.

#2 W3 Total Cache

W3 Total Cache is a caching plugin which means that it tells a web browser to save parts of your site when someone visits so that the next time they visit, or if they look at any other pages then all of those pages will load faster.

Not only is a fast loading website the best for your user experience, but it is also a ranking factor in Google search!

You can also make it so that your site’s files are also compressed so that first page load will be faster too!

There really are a lot of option when it comes to configuring this plugin to get the most out of it, but even a basic configuration will help you out. If you need any more help configuring it to get the fastest page load speed, let me know.
